The Evansville Half Marathon course starts atop Reitz Hill and winds down through the city of Evansville, Indiana.

Highlights include the view from Reitz Hill, the Greenway, Garvin Park and Bosse Field, Main Street and the Walkway, Bayard and Akin Parks and a finish on the beautiful Riverfront.

The 13.1 mile course is primarily flat (click here for an elevation chart). No strollers, bicycles or pets are allowed on the course. The course will officially close after 4 hours 30 minutes. Please be advised that portions of the course will remain open to traffic.

Transportation

Shuttles will be provided to the start line from several downtown locations. Shuttles will run approximately every 15 minutes from 4:45 until 6:30.

**Please note**
The last shuttle will leave the downtown area at 6:30 am!

Shuttles will transport participants to the top of Reitz Hill from the following locations:

  • The YMCA, 222 NW Sixth
  • The Integra Parking Garage, 21 SE Third
  • The Vectren Parking Lot, First and Court Street
  • The ONB Parking Garage, 1 Main Street

Aid Stations

There will be one at the start and one at the finish. Along the course there will be 8 additional aid stations (approximately every 1.5 miles). In addition, ProRehab will provide medical assistance at various locations along the course.

INTERFAITH SERVICE:

A pre-race interfaith prayer service will be held at 6:00 am near the starting line at Reitz High School.

AWARDS & PREMIUMS:

All Evansville Half Marathon participants will receive an official t-shirt, bib number and goodie bag.

All participants who finish under 4.5 hours will receive a finisher's medal.

The top 10 men and women finishers will receive special finishing awards and age group awards will be given to the top four in each category.
