The YMCA Kids' Half Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
Kids will run or walk 12 miles (1 mile per day) leading up to the event and complete their thirteenth mile on the Half Marathon course, finishing at the "official" finish line. In 2006 the Kid’s Half Marathon had over 50 participants.
Kids will track their mileage in a running log for the days and weeks leading up the Half Marathon. On race day, kids will assemble at the Kid’s Kingdom to run the final 1.1 mile to the finish. All participants will receive a running log, a t-shirt, and a kid’s half marathon medal.
The Cost:
$10 prior to September 1
$12 after September 1
